THESE ARE SAMPLES OF MY WORK. I create custom pet portraits from high quality images provided by my customers. I ask that you send me approximately 2-5 shots of the pet you want painted. I work primarily in oil paints.
The cost of the commission will be discussed when we speak. There are many variable that make up the price such as size, subject matter, background, etc.
Portrait prices do not include frames. You have a choice of framing it yourself or I will select a frame for you and let you know what the charge is.

This is gorgeous 9" x 12" oil painting of Nala & Bad??? . If you think you see one green eye and one blue eye, your eyes are not playing tricks on you! The beautiful cat actually had two different colored eyes. I really love how the cat is looking at the dog so adoringly and the dog seems to be 'snubbing' the cat! Their expressions translate well and certainly show their personalities. Reference photos of this type, make the best pet portraits!
A client contacted me because Hamilton had just passed away. They wanted to find a way to honor their sweet little doggy. This is a 16" x 24" oil painting on canvas.

Digital Dog Portrait of Herman the German Shepherd
My client loves her dog so much! This photo was irresistible because Herman always loved to play with his ball. This photo made the perfect reference for a painting with his adorable baseball hat on and the ball by his side. The client also liked that her image can be seen taking the snapshot of Herman! I think this is a very creative piece of art that tells a great story of a piece of Herman's life that the client will always remember.

Here is a sample of a 9x12" portrait of this beautiful cat nestled in colorful towels! This photo provided me with the perfect reference for this portrait. The image is sharp, close enough for me to see the details in the cat. The pose has a great deal of interest which translated very well into a beautiful painting of Pia.
My client hired me to create a custom portrait of both dogs. I used several e separate photographs of the dogs and decided which poses would work best together for the portrait. This portrait was done in oil paints and the size of the canvas is 16x20". The frame is a great compliment to this portrait and to the client's home. This was completed in 2022.

This is an acrylic dog portrait painting of a Jack Russell Terrier that is no longer with her family. Her mother contacted me because she wanted a remembrance of her beloved Bogey. Bogey was full of energy and had a beautiful long life with his family. He is certainly missed by all the knew him. Now they can see him everyday and his memory is kept alive!
This portrait was painted in oil color paints. It is only a sample so you can see the quality of my work. The last photo is the image that I used for the reference photo. All of my paintings are hand painted from the reference photo. Oils take up to 6 weeks or more to complete due to the layering and drying time. Oil painting is more labor intensive and requires more time than acrylic paints.

This is a 9"x12" canvas acrylic painting of a sweet Jack Russell Terrier that had passed away. The owner hired me to paint it because she had the dog for 17 years and Brownie meant the world to her. She hangs it in her bedroom so she can look at Brownie every day as a reminder of the good times she shared with the dog. These portraits are such meaning gifts for people who have pets that crossed that dreaded Rainbow Bridge. I am so thrilled and blessed that I have the ability to recreate an image and turn their sweet four-legged family members into a lifetime memorial.

Topanga is a gorgeous Basenji I was commissioned to paint for a young man who loves his dog! The dog is still very much alive and well. A women contacted me because she wanted to surprise her loved one with a special gift that would be very meaningful. She knew how much the dog meant to him so she decided to get a portrait done. He was thrilled to receive it for a Christmas gift last year! I was thrilled to create it for them! Nothing makes me happier than to see my clients smile when the see the completed portrait!

This is a sample of an 9"x12" acrylic painting I completed of a French Bull Dog. I just loved the soft grey and light tan colors in this dog. That adorable face made it a pleasure to paint this dog portrait!
